Daniel Bertrand is a founding principal owner of CoreMark Insurance Services, Inc. and is active as a Commercial Lines Insurance Broker. Dan began his retail agency experience in 1997 and prior to that began his insurance career with Chubb & Son Insurance Company in San Francisco in 1993. Dan’s expertise lies in Property & Casualty insurance for medium-to-large transportation, construction, and wholesale/distribution risks. With over 25 years of risk management experience, Dan has developed several niche insurance programs with A++ rated insurance carriers. Dan serves on several insurance company advisory boards including Liberty Mutual and State Compensation Insurance Fund (SCIF).

Dan’s clients and insurance company partners find value in his expertise in risk protection and his desire to provide quality, personalized service. Prior to founding CoreMark Insurance Services, Inc. in 2014, Dan helped establish Armstrong & Associates in 1998 as a founding partner and eventually into one of the top 100 Independent Agencies in the United States. Dan has built a solid reputation due to his knowledge of the laws, regulations, and intricacies of the transportation and construction industries. Dan attended New York University’s School of Business with a concentration in marketing and finance and is also a graduate of the Fire Safety Institute of New York.

Prior to his insurance career, Dan spent 14 years in the hospitality industry managing upscale 4 and 5 star hotels in Northern California and New York City. That is where Dan attributes his sense of excellent customer service. “I have spent my entire working life making sure my clients get a good night’s sleep. As in a luxurious hotel, when you are properly insured you sleep so much better!”

Dan loves spending time with his family and volunteering in his son’s sports. Dan also enjoys playing basketball, exercising, traveling, watching bad TV and good movies, and reading books on history and team building.
