We sat down with Karen Meier, Marketing Manager for Renewal by Anderson of Sacramento, to discuss the company’s operations and some of the issues it faces.
CoreMark Insurance: Please tell us about your background and how you got into this business?
Our previous business was Grendahl Construction. We built custom new residential homes and also remodels of existing homes. While serving our region through our construction company we used Andersen Windows and Doors in numerous projects and loved the craftsmanship and quality of the product.
When the Renewal by Andersen dealership became available in our region, we knew we needed to be a part of providing this craftsmanship to our region.
What are the biggest challenges in running a window business?
Fast-paced growth has been a challenge.
In terms of workplace safety, what is your biggest concern for your installers?
Our biggest concern is scaffolding and ladder work, especially in the winter months. The danger of working up high, compounded by slick surfaces requires a heightened level of attention to safety.
What are the biggest rewards in running your business?
The opportunity to provide the Renewal by Andersen high-quality product sand signature service to homeowners in our community.
Also, providing a high level of service from the first point of contact with us through product installation. We are proud of how we service our community through our business.
